Properties:
Amocloxin forteis the trade name of two beta-lactam antibiotics, Amoxicillinis active against G-negative bacteria such as (E.coli, Salmonella, Shigella, Haemophillus) and against G+ positive bacteria such as (Streptococcal spp., Coryne bacterium pyogen, Clostridium spp.)
Cloxacillin is semisynthetic penicillinase – resistant penicillin. Its efficacy is aimed directly against penicillinase producing strains of G+ positivecocci, particularly Staphylococcal spp., and it is active against all G- negative bacteria (E.coli, Salmonella, Shigella,…..) except Pseudomonas.
Beta-lactam antibioticsact by inhibition of bacterial cell wall synthesis by interfering with the final stage of peptedoglycan synthesis.
Indications:
- Necrotic enteritis (Clostridia perferengens type A).
- Enteritis and diaheorrea (E.coli – Salmonella).
- Infectious coryza (Haemophillus paragallinarium)
- Staphylococcal infections.
Target Species:
Chickens-Turkeys.
Doses:
Route: via drinking water.
For Active ingredients:
The dose rate is 20 mg/kg body weight, daily during 3 to 5 days depending on the clinical response.
For whole product:
1 gm / 1 liter, drinking water, twice daily for 3 – 5 days.
Warning and Precautions:
Withdrawal time: in Chickens – Turkeys: 7 days
Not used with bacteriostatic antibiotics.
Contra – Indications:
Not used in Chickens producing eggs for human consumption.
Not used in chickens hypersensitive to penicillins.
Side Effects:
Adverse reactions are rarely encountered. Hypersensitivity reactions may occur. If suspected adverse reactions do occur, treatment should be discontinued immediately.
Storage:
At temperature not exceeding 30◦C in dry place and used directly after reconstitution
