BROMODOX

Compostion:

Each ml contains:

Doxycycline (hyclate) …………………………… 100 mg

Bromhexine HCl…………………………………. 10 mg

Properties:

Doxycycline is a bacteriostatic antibacterial, acting by interfering protein synthesis in sensitive bacterial species. Doxycycline is a semisynthetic antibiotic belonging to tetracycline group, it acts on the 30 S subunit of the bacterial ribosome, which binds reversibly, blocking binding of aminoacyl-ARMT (transfer RNA) to the complex of mRNA and ribosome, preventing the addition of new amino acids to the growing peptide chain and interfering with the synthesis of proteins. It is active against Gram -positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Its antibacterial spectrum includes: Mycoplasma spp., Bordetella bronchiseptica, Pasteurella multocida and Mannheimia haemolytica.

Bromhexine is a benzylamine with expectorant properties. Used alone or combined with antimicrobial substances for the treatment of respiratory diseases where there is a mucocilary clearance and production of viscid mucous. Bromhexine increases the volume of bronchial secretion, modifies mucopolysaccharides produced by the secretory cells, reduces the viscosity of mucus and increases the trachiobrnochial ciliary activity.

Target species

Poultry (broilers), pre-ruminating calves and pigs.

Indications

Broilers chickens:

Treatment of chronic respiratory disease caused by mycoplasma and other bacterial organisms.

Pre-ruminating calves:

Treatment of respiratory infections caused by Pasteurella multocida and Mannheimia haemolytica susceptible to doxycycline.

Pigs:
Treatment of respiratory infections caused by Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, Pasteurella multocida and / or Bordetella bronchiseptica sensitive to doxycycline.

Dosage & Administration
