TYLEMINAT
Composition:
Each 1gm contain :
Tylosin tartrate …………………………………………………………………. 865.5 mg
(Eq .to tylosin base 800 mg)
Properties:
Tylosin is a macrolide antibiotic produced by a strain of streptomyces fradiae . It exerts its antimicrobial effect by inhibiting protein synthesis of susceptible micro-organisms. The tylosin spectrum of activity includes amongst others Gram-positive bacteria, some Gram–negative strains such as pasteurella and Mycoplasma spp.
In most species peak plasma concentrations have been attained 1 to 2 hours after oral administration of tylosin. Compared to plasma levels clearly higher tissue concentrations have been observed.
Most of the residues are excreted in feces predominantly consisting of tylosin (factor A) relomycin ( factor D ) and dihydrodesmycosin .
Indications
It is used for treatment :
- Chronic respiratory diseases (CRD) in broiler chickens and replacement chickens caused by Mycoplasma gallisepticum.
- Air saculitis in chickens caused by Mycoplasma synoviae.
- Infectious sinusitis in turkey caused by Mycoplasma gallisepticum.
- Necrotic enteritis in chickens caused by clostridium perfringes.
- For the prevention and control of enzootic pneumonia caused by Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, swine dysentery caused by Brachyspira hyodysenteriae and other scours caused by organisms e.g. Lawsonia intracellularis sensitive to tylosin.
- Pneumonia in calves associated with Mycoplasma spp. and Pasteurella multocida sensitive to tylosin.
Target species:
Broilers and replacement chickens, turkeys, calves and pigs.
Dosage of Administration:
Route: Orally via drinking water
Broilers and replacement chickens and turkeys: 0.625 gm /1 liter of drinking water for 5 days. (0.0625 gm/ kg b. wt. for 5 days).
Pigs: 0.31 gm / liter of drinking water ( 0.0313 gm / kg. b. wt.) for 3-10 days.
Claves: 1.25 gm / calf twice daily for 7-14 days

3-Do not use in animals vaccinated with tylosin-sensitive vaccines either at the same time or within 1 week previously .
4-Do not use in animals with hepatic disorders .
5-Do not use in horses.
